So often we recall the books we read most recently, but I’d like to know what books in the past 20 years or so left an impact on you.
One such book for me was Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver. Her writing is gorgeous and her family’s story made me question my own relationship with food and how I source it. It was incredibly powerful.

This is one reason why my husband and I garden, keep chickens, and try to source as much of our food as possible from local farmers and growers. While we can’t claim to know where every morsel of food comes from, we have made choices and efforts to better understand the life and death of the food we eat. It makes a difference.
So how about you?
Tell me about a book that made an imprint on your life and how it changed you or how you interact with the world!
