It’s day 14 of the #TopsyTurvyBookTour over on Instagram! Yesterday Emily fled the room… and today she found Anne, Lucie, and Tara. Here we go…
(This is a derivative work based on the original book by Louisa May Alcott.)
Emily passed back through the door, but instead of rejoining Rabbit in the garden, she stepped inside a worn but welcoming parlor.
Tara looked up from her sewing. She fixed Emily with a hard look. “I was in a hot outfit, with a smokin’ hot man, and I was in charge.”
“And yet I feel as though this is a better scene for us.” Emily sat across from her best friend. On the threadbare couch, Lucie and Anne hid their smiles. “Any idea where we are this time?”
“If I had to guess,” Anne Lace began, “I’d say Little Women.” She pointed to the corner. “I found some fake mustaches and paper swords.”
“What are we sewing?” Emily asked.
Lucie held up a red cape. “That smokin’ hot man your friend referred to about ripped this off me earlier today in the forest. I’m sewing up a tear.”
“Why were you wearing a red cape?” Tara frowned.
“Let’s not talk about Templeton.” Emily leaned back in her chair. There were no arms on which to rest her elbows and it did little to ease the exhaustion she felt. “Has anyone seen Rabbit? Do we know what’s happening yet? Last time I talked to him he said the network mentioned a ‘topsy turvy’ spell.”
“Topsy turvy?” Lucie repeated. “Doesn’t ring a bell. But if I can figure out how to get back home, I’ll check my books.”
“I haven’t heard of such a thing,” answered Anne, standing. “Maybe I should start a pot of tea and see what the leaves have to say. We might get some answers.”
…stay tuned as tomorrow Door to Door characters are heading straight into Jericho Falls! (That post is now available!) 🙂
