Scene: Well, Flame, you certainly have a way with words. In this scene, Lucie Bellerose and Flame (her young “boarder”) are in her kitchen discussing…well. Just read on…

“You need more girlfriends, Lucie.” Flame popped a grape into his mouth.
“I have girlfriends,” I protested. “Emily, Tara…um. Others. I just don’t see them often.”
Flame’s eyelids dipped, and he considered me with a feline expression. “Your life is a sausage-fest.”
“No, it’s not!” I tossed the dishcloth into the sink. “I can’t believe you said that.”
“Do you want a list?” He held up a hand and started counting off names on his fingers. “Rabbit, Big Rabbit, Templeton – this new Seth person. Me.” He paused. “Even that demon is back. Why? Why is he back, Lucie? He wears too much cologne. I can smell him an hour after he leaves. Make him stay away.”
“Look, these are my friends – well, Sebastian isn’t really a friend, but there’s a history there.” I rubbed my forehead. “And, Templeton is, well, more than a friend and –”
“So, what’s Rabbit?” Flame asked. “Things looked pretty different last summer.”
I opened my mouth to answer and realized I didn’t have one.

What’s This Mean for Bellerose Witchline Characters?
I’ll be sharing scenes featuring Lucie Bellerose, Templeton, Rabbit, Sebastian St. Michel, and the rest of the drama-filled crew from my current WIP, picking a song and matching the “prompt of the day” from the challenge.
If you ARE on Instagram, make sure you’re following me at https://www.instagram.com/WriterTracyBrown/ to see the posts there! But again, as long as you check out my blog list or my Writer Tracy Brown page every day, you can read all the short stories without Instagram. 🙂
