“What?” My eyes widened. Dammit, Sebastian! I thought. Even when you’re not here, you cause trouble. I felt the tether that bound him to me tighten, and my gaze skittered to the pantry door as I sucked in a breath. No! No! No! I chanted silently. Do NOT come here now!
“Sebastian owns several businesses outside of his family’s interests, including Augustus Vineyards.” Templeton studied me, then glanced toward the pantry. “What’s wrong?”
Strong emotion while thinking about Sebastian would draw him to me. Like Templeton, he was a Salesman and could door travel. My right hand lifted, and I touched the Crimson Stone under my sweatshirt, focusing instead on its gentle pulsing.
“I was just surprised.” My feelings controlled, I shrugged as the connection I had with Sebastian relaxed…
