Day 5 Prompt: Makes you nervous.
Song choice: Burden In My Hand, by Soundgarden

Scene: Lucie Bellerose and Templeton are in her kitchen dancing around the frequent “elephant” in the room: Sebastian St. Michel…
“What?” My eyes widened. Dammit, Sebastian! I thought. Even when you’re not here, you cause trouble. I felt the tether that bound him to me tighten, and my gaze skittered to the pantry door as I sucked in a breath. No! No! No! I chanted silently. Do NOT come here now!
“Sebastian owns several businesses outside of his family’s interests, including Augustus Vineyards.” Templeton studied me, then glanced toward the pantry. “What’s wrong?”
Strong emotion while thinking about Sebastian would draw him to me. Like Templeton, he was a Salesman and could door travel. My right hand lifted, and I touched the Crimson Stone under my sweatshirt, focusing instead on its gentle pulsing.
“I was just surprised.” My feelings controlled, I shrugged as the connection I had with Sebastian relaxed…
🎶 This writing challenge runs from May 15 – 28! Stay tuned as tomorrow the next prompt is: Makes you wonder. That post is now available – click here!

I’ll be sharing scenes featuring Lucie Bellerose, Templeton, Rabbit, Sebastian St. Michel, and the rest of the drama-filled crew from my current WIP, picking a song and matching the “prompt of the day” from the challenge.
