💗It’s Day 6 of the #TopsyTurvyRelationships writing challenge over on Instagram! Yesterday Emily Swift had lunch with her late father. Today Lucie Bellerose finds herself starring in an episode of The Bachelorette. Here we go!

Lucie lowered her book. “I don’t have time for this.”
Unfolding her legs, she slid from her bed. On the other side of the closet door, a sunny beach awaited her.
“Looking hot, wayward witch.” Sebastian whistled as he crossed the sand. He held out a rose. A film crew followed behind him.
“What’s this?” Lucie glanced down at her outfit. Gone were her pajamas. Instead, she wore a bikini with a high-waisted bottom and sarong. The top was delivering a herculean effort. “Why am I wearing this? I would never wear this.”
“Yeah, I might’ve had a hand in that,” Sebastian admitted. He wiggled the flower at her. “It’s The Bachelorette – that TV show. You give this to the one you choose.”
Lucie balked. “I’m not doing this.”
“Yes, you are!” Sebastian seemed particularly cheerful.
Her eyes narrowed. “What’s going on?”
“Just take it.” He pressed the stem into her hand and offered his arm.
Grudgingly, Lucie threaded her arm through his and allowed him to escort her farther down the beach where two men waited.
Lucie’s toes curled in the sand when they came to a stop. Eyes cast down and hands on hips, Rabbit stood stock-still in a pair of Doc Martens, cargo shorts, and a faded tee. Beside him, Templeton glowered at Sebastian, his arms crossed. He blinked, his pale eyes flicking from Sebastian to Lucie.
Sebastian revealed a remote control used by author Joanna Monahan in a past Turvy. Pressing a button, he “paused” the show, leaving Templeton and Rabbit frozen. He circled each man, studying their stone faces, then brushed a non-existent piece of lint from Templeton’s suit coat. Returning to Lucie’s side, his lips hovered at her ear. “To end today’s Turvy, you have to pick. Who gets the rose?” Pointing the remote, he pressed play. Rabbit and Templeton startled to life.
Templeton snorted; Rabbit stared at the symbol trembling in Lucie’s hand.
Sebastian nudged Lucie forward, but she faltered. Spinning around, she smacked the flower against his chest and pushed past him. The rose back in his grip, he raised a dark eyebrow and grinned at the other two. “Gee, does this mean she picked me?”
