💗It’s Day 9 of the #TopsyTurvyRelationships writing challenge over on Instagram! Yesterday we watched as two characters were thrown together on a blind date. Today Rabbit reveals a bad haircut. Here we go!

Emily set the bag of groceries on the kitchen counter just as the bell sounded. Rolling her eyes, she admitted silently that this Turvy wasn’t too painful after all. She wondered what the others thought as she opened the nearest door.
The Turvy swept her straight into Lucie’s kitchen. There she found her friend doubled over laughing and Big Rabbit wiping tears from his eyes as he wheezed.
Rabbit, however, did *not* look happy. He sat on a barstool at the kitchen counter.
“What’s going on?” Emily grinned automatically. “What’d I miss?”
“This!” Big Rabbit swung his beefy hand past Rabbit’s head and yanked off his red knit hat.
“Oh, my god!” Emily clapped a hand over her mouth.
“Knock it off!” Rabbit bounced up from his seat and snatched the hat back. He pulled it over his head, his eyes angry and glittering black. “I’m leaving.”
Lucie managed to catch her breath. “No, no. I’m sorry.” She forced a straight face, then burst into another fit of laughter.
“What happened?” Emily asked.
“His stupid nephew.” Rabbit hooked a thumb at Big Rabbit.
The other man chuckled. “He’s a bit of a prankster. And this one –” he motioned to Rabbit “– tied one on last night, so he was out cold this morning. The result?”
“Reverse mohawk,” Lucie snorted.
“It looks bad,” Emily grimaced.
“I hate all of you right now,” Rabbit replied.
“Only one way to fix it.” Emily looked at Lucie. The witch nodded. “Okay, I’ll be right back. Jack has clippers at home.”
*20 minutes later*
With a towel wrapped around his shoulders, Rabbit sat in the center of the kitchen on the barstool while Emily shaved his head. Lucie swept up the black curls in a circle around them.
“This pains me,” Lucie said. “I love these curls.”
“It’ll grow back,” Emily shrugged as she finished.
Rabbit climbed off the chair and grabbed his knit hat. He put it on. “I still hate everyone.”
Before Emily could put the clippers away, Big Rabbit perched on the barstool. “Me next.”
Lucie’s eyes popped open wide. “Not the manly locks of love?”
“Yup.” Big Rabbit glanced at Rabbit. “Solidarity, bro.”
