🗣️ Let’s talk about updates for ebooks – do you know where to find them? Once in a while, an author will update an ebook file AFTER you purchased their book.
👉 To make sure you have the LATEST AND GREATEST version of an ebook, you can find options right on your Kindle (assume also in Kindle app), or in your digital content section on Amazon. See the example images in this post.
✔ Online: If you are LOGGED INTO AMAZON and go directly to this link: www.amazon.com/gp/digital/fiona/manage – it will actually redirect you to your own “Manage Your Content and Devices” page. This is the link Amazon Help provided to me and it works. Some of you might see an update button by certain ebooks, some will just need to be re-downloaded in order to get the update. If you have trouble, Amazon Customer Support has been great when I had questions, so I’d go to them first.
✔ Updating on Kindle (and via Kindle App for phones, tablets) will vary. I included a few slides with possible scenarios you might find on a Kindle.
📌 Amazon customer service reports: “Customers who download eBooks through Kindle Unlimited will receive the updated content as long as they haven’t returned the Kindle Unlimited borrow before the content update is initiated.”
🤔 What about highlighted text in the ebooks you’ve purchased? This is a tough one. Amazon has indicated that highlights might be removed when an update is made to the ebook you purchased. However, just yesterday my husband and I updated ebooks with highlights on our Kindles and we did NOT lose our highlights. We checked before and after the update. So…that was our experience. Yours might be different.
❓Have there been any ebook updates for the 🎩 Door to Door Paranormal Mysteries and the 🔥 Bellerose Witchline Series? Yup! The most recent ones were for Door to Door and Crossing the Witchline. Make sure you are up-to-date if you purchased the ebooks.
💛 Amazon Customer Service is pretty helpful. If you have any more questions, reach out to them: https://www.amazon.com/hz/contact-us/foresight/hubgateway. They are also typically fast with responses. I’ve been satisfied with their service.
