đź“– It’s the first day of National Poetry Month, and although I’m not a poet, I did pen this little acrostic poem for A Thin Witchline Between Love & Hate.

Templeton came across it in an obscure book called Poems from the Black Sky. The book of poetry is only found in the library at the Congress of Empire Witches.
In this scene, Templeton and Lucie Bellerose discuss the possible connection between Empire Tales for Children (the mysterious book of fairy tales) and Poems from the Black Sky:
“…The styles ranged from narrative to free verse. There was one acrostic poem I found which might be connected to The Man with the Red Eyes.” Templeton set his notepad on the counter and wrote:
Covered by vanilla stars
Lovers wrap stems and petals
Each careful breath is
Mouthed against lips
As pure as clouds
Trailing across darkened skies
Innocence is bled away
Seduction sows its secret seeds
I read the poem silently.
“This is the acrostic poem,” Templeton reminded me.
My brows knitted together. “Clematis? Like the flower?”
“Like the flowers surrounding the girl’s altar in The Man with the Red Eyes,” he said. “He ate one.”
I read the poem a second time. “Are you saying the man deflowered her?”
“I think he took away her innocence…”
