Rachel Stanley’s Review of Crossing the Witchline

🔥 Many, many thanks to author Rachel Stanley for her 5-star review of Crossing the Witchline, book 2 in my dark fantasy Bellerose Witchline series!

Perfectly pitched and perfectly paced – I am a huge fan of author T.L. Brown and I’ve been waiting – really rather impatiently – for Crossing the Witchline to be released ever since I finished A Thin Witchline Between Love & Hate, which is the first book in the Bellerose Witchline series. Thankfully I was not disappointed. I don’t want to say too much for fear of spoilering either of the books in this series but suffice it to say that Crossing the Witchline is a wonderful read. It continues Lucie’s story (who first appears in T.L. Brown’s Door to Door series but as a minor character), picking up pretty much straight after the events of A Thin Witchline Between Love & Hate. For reasons that I won’t mention, Lucie is very much on her own, struggling with emotional pain but determined to find a way to get back her previous way of life. I’m not explaining this very well, but you know, spoilers! A new character, Flame, is introduced and Flame brings the light with him, which is important because without Flame Crossing the Witchline could have been a very dark book with no light relief. Note that I say ‘could have been’ because despite some darker themes Crossing the Witchline is perfectly pitched and perfectly paced. I devoured it far too quickly because now I’m back to waiting – really rather impatiently – for the next in the series.
