đ Thank you to author Saz Vora for her 5-star reviews of A Thin Witchline Between Love & Hate AND Crossing the Witchline! Both reviews are listed below!
A Thin Witchline Between Love & Hate
An unputdownable dark fantasy that will have you wanting to read into the night. – I used to read a lot of fantasy and science fiction until recently and have missed the aspect of magical other worlds where time and space can be manipulated and transformed. A Thin Witchline Between Love & Hate (Bellerose Witchline Book 1) did not disappoint. I got all my thrills with a gripping plot, a dive into a magical world with Lucie, Templeton, and Rabbit. Lucie is a thirtysomething witch who has more problems than most, she has a thinning witchline, named in prophecy and isnât one to tow the line. We meet her as she returns to her hometown, only to find that the Congress of Empire Witches wants answers on how she strengthened her witchline. An infuriating door travelling man who sheâs attracted to and loathes in equal measures, a wonderfully steadfast Rabbit, and an evil teacher who wants her back. Thatâs not her only problem, sheâs still recovering from heartbreak and betrayal from when she met Basha. It reminded me of A Discovery of Witches and had all the thriller vibes too. I read this in a couple of late into the night readings and what an ending!!! I loved it.
Had to read Crossing the Witchline, book 2 in the Bellerose Witchline straight away, more on that in my next review. This story follows on from Brownâs Door to Door series, but can be read separately. Let me tell you this, Iâm definitely adding the Door to Door Series in my TBR. If you want to read a book full of thrilling drama, evil villains, an incredibly powerful and strong female protagonist and a hot top hat wearing door traveller pick up this book you wonât be disappointed.
Crossing the Witchline
A fast paced twisty ending that will have you gasping for more. – After reading A Thin Witchline Between Love & Hate, the first book in the series I couldnât wait to read Crossing the Witchline. Brown has written another unputdownable story, characters that have me rooting for them. Even the dubious demon and boy did she deliver in spades.
We find Lucie after the devastating *spoiler*. Emotionally wrecked from losing the support of her best friend. The Congress of Empire Witches have suspended her, dashing all her hopes of a rescue of the man that means more to her than she realised. As the title suggests, there is no way for Lucie to get back the man in the prophecy without crossing the line.
Lucie’s only hope is to form an alliance with a dubious witch, and a demon from her past and daring to take a risk others would avoid. We find her struggling endlessly to accept that all is lost and find out what a courageous, strong willed, open-minded witch Lucie is. Again Brown delivers a fast paced adventure, full of thrills and spills, an obnoxious helper, a shape shifter with a dubious past who brings with him some lightness and hope. Another twisty ending that has left me wanting more. Whenâs the next book coming out T.L. Brown Iâm waiting?
Thank you!
