š„Thanks to author Rose J. Fairchild for her 5-star review of Crossing the Witchline, book 2 in the adult dark fantasy Bellerose Witchline series!
She writes: Lucie is a wonder! – I absolutely LOVE Lucie and how strong and capable she is. I love how she stands her ground and fights for what she knows and believes in, but also fights to further her knowledge. And the boys! Sebastian (I gotta love him, Iām sorry), Templeton (another one who is morally gray, but oh-so-delightful), Rabbit (who steals my heart every time), Big Rabbit (quite possibly the biggest cinnamon roll ever), and now Flame, the shifter, who is perfection! The characters are phenomenal, and a few truly nasty ones appeared in this book, which only helped me defend my love of Sebastian. There is so much darkness, so much drama, and itās woven in a way that left me spellbound, a world where fairytales become reality, and āThe Darknessā and āBeams of Lightā are so terrifying, theyāll haunt your nightmares. The Above, and the Below. Horrifying in a completely unique way. Brown really knows how to pull the feels out of you. I ran the gamut from giddy to sad to angry to disgusted to downright wanting to strangle certain characters. Love to hate them, hate to love them, and yet they all held me rapt. So please, I beg of you, read these books!!! They are SO! DANG! GOOD!!! Magic, mystery, twisty trails, messy loves, domineering elders, a fiery witch, and just so much deliciousness all in one place! I canāt wait for #3!!!!
š Thank you, Rose! This review meant so much to me! And I know for a fact that šSebastian St. Michel is particularly excited to read your praise.

Would you give your light to the one who needs it the most and deserves it the least?
Ever since Lucie Bellerose returned to the Empire, sheās lived amid chaos. Now, three months after a devastating battle in the Walled Zone, sheās desperate to get into the Above to find her lost magic man. With her best friend still missing and her membership at the Congress of Empire Witches suspended, Lucieās on her own.
A glimmer of hope comes in the feline form of a shapeshifter, a young man who set fire to the Crimson Stone. But as Lucie works to put the three pieces of the gemstone back together, she learns her best-laid plans might magically backfire.
Down to her last resort, Lucie seeks help from an unpredictable demon ā a man from her past who is held captive in the Below. A deal is made, but can Lucie trust him to keep his end of the bargain? Will the darkness overshadow her light?
Crossing the Witchline is book 2 in the adult dark fantasy Bellerose Witchline series, where friends and enemies arenāt always who they seem to be, and even a bad man can get a second chance to do life right.
As Lucie says, itās complicated.
