Anne Lace is first referenced in Emily Swift's late father's journal.
She is introduced in the first book in the series, Door to Door. She is the former owner of The Daily Brew (Matar) and currently the owner of The Daily Brew Too in Kincaid.
Stats
In book one of the series, Emily observes:
Moments later a slender woman appeared, wiping her hands on a blue apron that stopped right above her knees. She was probably in her fifties, with snow white hair cropped short in a pixie cut. Her green eyes were striking, and the corners crinkled as she smiled. She was tall, but she was also wearing heeled boots. She strutted up to the counter.
An Enigma
From Emily, in Door to Door:
…was a battleground. I saw Anne swing my bag and catch one of the attackers alongside of his head. He went down and Anne kicked him in the stomach.
From Tuesday, in Door to Door:
“Annie!” Tuesday clapped two pudgy hands together. “I should have guessed you were coming! All my teacups keep rattling in the cupboards when I’m not in the kitchen.”
